We were extremely blessed this year to get a great tax return. So to celebrate JD agreed to replacing our front door and 5 windows! This first picture is of our old door incase you can't remember it. When we moved here it was dark pink, yes really it was. I have always depised this door because of the big sidelight windows and the way you could see under our door. So yes that is how all the cold air would come in during the winter and the bugs in the summer. So I have always had it in my mind that I wanted a new door.
It was so beautiful to watch as the guys from Therma Glass yanked that old door out. I was soooo happy to see it go! I am being just a little dramatic but it really was so exciting!
The new door is fabulous! I love it! It is so beautiful. And everyone and their dog can't see inside of our house now! Yippee!
We also got our two front windows and the three bedroom windows replaced. That was so awesome as well. We had thirty year old windows that leaked air like crazy. You could sit on the couch and feel the air blowing. But no more! I am so happy to report that as the wind is blowing right now - I feel nothing! Our house is holding the heat better now and life is good!
I put this picture of the basement window because it is probably my favorite. I was so scared to clean that window before it was replaced because I swear there were sooo many dead bugs and spiderwebs and I just didn't even like to open the blinds down there. Plus the outside of the glass was so yucky from years of sprinklers hitting it and hard water residue - I could never get it off. So anyway I love this window now!
And last but not least, I had to add this cute picture of Marissa eating rice cereal. I love the look on her face. Plus if you look really close - I put a ponytail in her hair. Yes I know it looks funny but it was fun. Can't wait for her to get more hair!

Conference Weekend
We had a great conference weekend. We spent Saturday and Sunday at my parents house in North Salt Lake. The kids had a blast playing with their cousins. And surprisingly there wasn't any major meltdowns - everyone got a long well including the adults!!! The highlight for Josh and JD was going to the afternoon session of conference at the Conference Center. I wish I could have gone too but it's still hard for me to leave Marissa for very long. Maybe next time. My mom's dad was also visiting from Oregon this weekend. So he got to see all of his great grandchildren - except for Zyon who's in Hawaii. It was nice to see him and spend time with him. I think it's probably the longest I have ever spent with him. We don't see him much. Tanner and his cousin Cade had a blast and as you can see in the picture grandma's dog Fudge just loves Tanner! Little Ian loved holding baby Marissa. He kept saying "baby, baby". It was very sweet. After a great Sunday dinner cooked by the best cook around (MOM) we headed south to visit JD's sister Kristin and her family who just moved to West Jordan from Las Vegas. We got to see their new home and have fun with some more cousins. So it was an eventful weekend. I loved conference and can't wait to read the talks again since I was sometimes a little distracted. I am just amazed at our prophet and the apostles - they truly are awesome men. Hope everyone else had a great weekend!
