Thumbsucker and Pooper

So Marissa has done things different again. She is our first thumbsucker. She is so funny because she always has her hands in her mouth. It is actually very cute. I am sure it won't be so cute when she is 14 but it is cute now. (Kidding about the 14 part but she does have an aunt who sucked her thumb till she was 11 - when I met her)! Marissa is such a joy!

Here is Marissa with her great grandparents - the Seastrands! Grandma was so nice and watched all 4 of the kids last night so I could go to yoga with my friend! Grandma Seastrand is amazing! At 70something she is still going strong! We sure love her and Grandpa lots!

Now the pooping story! At church on Sunday JD took Marissa to High Priest Group (the youth were at the Music and the Spoken word). So he sits down in class and Marissa lets out a huge rumble in your pants! Very loud (JD tells me)! He looks around and everyone is looking at him and he points to Marissa, "it was her I swear"! He was sitting next to Brother Bragg (who happens to be a very funny man)! And JD leans over and jokes "Now there's something you don't hear in high priests very often." Brother Bragg comes right back with "Well...actually....!" And JD and Jim just bust up laughing! So I guess there are those rumbles in high priests now and again! Thanks Marissa for giving us a good laugh!

Fun Times

This was kind of funny. The other day Tanner was holding Marissa and I grabbed the camera. Right after I took it - it totally reminded me of 4 years ago when a similar picture was taken of Josh holding Tanner! So here it is: April 12, 2004 - Josh was 4 holding 3 month old Tanner.

Now here is 4 year old Tanner holding 3 month old Marissa! So fun! These kids sure love each other. It is awesome!

Basketball Josh

So here is some awesome pictures of Josh in his first season of basketball. Basketball is one of his favorite sports and he did really well at it. It was fun to watch him guard his man and really get into the game. He has definitely learned a lot from watching the Jazz and BYU on tv. Here he is dribbling down the court!

Now here he is in the middle jumping up for the rebound. JD was pretty proud of this picture he took. It is really hard to get action shots with a digital camera because they take so long to actually take the picture. But this was a good one. Josh was really good on defense! The season is over already but we will look forward to next year!

Ice, Ice Baby (I'm a dork - I know!)

I know we all probably have icicles in our yards but this one was so fun. We have been watching it for over a week and it kept getting longer and longer. Usually when we have an icicle there it falls before it gets to long so this one was rare. Today when I looked out it was past the top of the deck and it was looking a little wobbely so I snapped a picture of Tanner with it. Then I pulled it off. It was huge and heavy and it was bigger than Tanner. Oh what fun winter is!

The Boys and their Girl!

I just thought I would post a few cute pictures of my handsome boys holding their pride and joy! I am missing a picture of Tanner with Marissa but when I get a good one I will post it. These boys love their little sister and she is such a good baby. We really love having her around. When she cries (which isn't very often) and the boys say something like she cries so much - I just have to laugh because thinking back they cried much, much, much more. Marissa just had her 2 month visit and weighed 12 lbs. 14 oz. and was 24.5 inches long. Hard to believe that she was my biggest baby born because now she is my littlest 2 month old. Funny how that all works out, huh? Just an interesting side note, I had the doctor look up how much Tanner weighed at his 2 month visit and he was 16 lbs and Tanner was my smallest at birth (9lbs. 3 oz). WOW! (Oh and by the way the picture with Dawson and Marissa - that happens to be a 30 year old dress that me and my sister used to wear. I just thought it would be fun to dress her in it for church today.)

A Walk in the Snow?

I am getting so crazy with this unbelievable amount of snow we have been getting, so JD suggested a walk. It was sunny yesterday but still pretty cold. We all ventured out. I put Marissa in the front carrier and then zipped up my coat. It was pretty funny because her feet were hanging out and then her little head was out just enough to breathe and see. She was awake the whole trip around the block. We were glad to get home and warm up but it was sure nice to breathe some fresh air and get out for a few minutes!
