Josh's first broken or to be precise "fractured" bone. He had a little incident while playing basketball at school on Thursday that ended with a big swollen nose and a fractured elbow and sprained wrist! Poor kid! Here's the story.
Hanks goes up for the dunk (the short hoops of course) is rejected (by that I mean he hits his arm on the rim), flies backward and flips over and lands on his face - OUCH! The call from the office goes a little something like this "Mrs. Hanks, Josh had a little accident out on the blacktop. His nose is really swollen - I don't know if it is broken. (AAHHH) His arm hurts and his knee is all scraped up." My heart starts racing - the panic sets in.
I raced over there and he was a mess. I felt so bad for him. After a day of him not using his left arm - it just hung by his side - I decided he should get it looked at. It is a small fracture so only 2 weeks in the splint and sling. That's the good news! And there's the story!
You can see how his eyes look a little farther apart than normal. His nose is still a bit swollen! Poor kid!

Ouch, what a bummer. At least he probably looked cool while doing it!
I think you need to tell your boys no more basketball!! :) At least Pat didn't do this one!
OH my goodness! Poor Josh, that looks painful!
Well, Josh joins me on the list of people who had an arm break while falling from a rim. I was hanging from a rim in middle school when someone pushed my legs. I fell down and broke my arm completely (looked like another elbow - ew.. Sorry Josh... take care of it and get better.
Still manages to be quite a handsome kid!
